I apologize for the amount of posts with rather lackluster content this past week. I've been insane amounts of busy. It's all pretty surreal, actually. Life is moving so fast. Since the semester started, I feel like I haven't had a moment to just sit down & take a pause. And while some might say, "it's a blessing to be busy," I truly beg to differ. Life is so short, so incredibly sweet, yet so unforgiving. I have to remind myself to stop for it–to enjoy it– because it doesn't wait. Not for anyone.
With that, I am constantly having to check myself and remember what actually matters. At the end of the day it truly is the difference between looking back and saying, "Wow, I'm so glad I stayed in to work my a** off and perfect that project," and "Wow, I'm so glad I spent that time with that person. I truly love being around them." We weren't put on this life to become slaves of our own expectations. We were placed here, in this very moment & time, to love on others, eat the cake, experience new wonders, and to continuously discover new outlets for undeniable happiness. And while that doesn't require not rolling up your sleeves and working hard for your dreams and aspirations, it does mean that breaks are okay–even necessary.
So, please. If there's one thing that I could send you off this weekend believing, it's this: make your life one worth living. There's not time to do anything else.
